Carifreight is a local agent for major Steamship Lines, Neutral NVOCC’s, Wholesale freight forwarders and Third Party Logistics providers. We hold membership in the local Freight Forwarders Association (FFAJ), International Freight Forwarders Association (FIATA), Worldwide Cargolink Partnership Network (WWPC), Customs Quality Assurance Committee and is a certified JAMPRO freight forwarder.

Carifreight is exclusive agent representative in Jamaica for Ocean and Airfreight consolidators located throughout Asia, Canada, Europe, Central America, South America and North America.

Carifreight is involve and has been instrumental in many major Projects, having handled shipments of Oilfield Machinery and Equipment for Petrojam Refinery, upon which the Goods were returned overseas to the shipper. Items re-exported included Containerized Tools and Out of Gauge Equipment.

The team also handled several overweight and over dimensional cargo for Diageo Global Supply and local beverage company, Red Stripe including their Keg Filling Machinery.

Carifreight coordinated the Shipping, Clearance and Delivery of several Mobile Crane Systems for the Port Authority of Jamaica from Mobile Systems and Crane GMBH in Germany, which were then transported to the Kingston Free Zone. We also handled the delivery of Construction Machinery and Architectural equipment, Electronic and Telecommunication computers devices for both International Airports located in Kingston and Montego Bay.

The highway 2000 Project was one of our longest running accounts and we are still importing machinery parts for the contractors – Bouyges Travaux Publics and E. Pihl and Son A.S.

Currently we are now working with Hotel developers, Buying Agents in Miami, Distribution companies and local Manufacturers in the Island to facilitate the movement of their cargo from scheduled ports Worldwide to the Port of Kingston and Montego Bay.

Our high volume inbound cargo consignments include that of Hardware supplies, Tiles, Plywood, Lumber, Steel Coils, Telecommunication and Computer Equipment, Tyres, Canned Food, Dry Goods, Personal Care commodities, Pharmaceutical products, Auto Parts and Accessories, Furniture and Haberdashery Items, Packaging materials, Groupage containers F.A.K., Confectionery, Appliances, Containerized shipments of Sugar and Rice, Agricultural produce, Consumer Goods .
